Riddle of the Unknown Piece....
Who/What are "they"?
They are trapped in one of a witch. But there is no witch. Just the remains of some of "their" unlucky adventurers. Maybe it is why "they" are seen no more. What must have happened, a ritual? A slaughter? It is unknown. Mystery does not settle human, they will belive what they want as long as it makes them feel better. If you thought it was dark before, brace yourself. Scratch, it's ok.
Hopefully this one isn't that easy! (But I feel like it is)

What must have happened, a ritual? The ritual part refers to the cauldron crucible map on which are the dead bodies of fallen, human, and cabal warriors. This is further reinforced by the witch reference although there is no actual witch there. The unlucky adventurers are the dead bodies. But the ones who are seen no more (on the moon) are the cabal therefor the answer to the riddle is the cabal.
