Apes and monkeys sharing a common ancestor isn't extreme by any means. All life shares a common ancestor when you go back far enough.
Age of the earth isn't extreme (and not part of evolution, but it does support the theory). Perhaps look into how its age was discovered? Claire Cameron Patterson is the man who found the age, and not with out a very great deal of painstaking work.
Big bang also isn't part of evolution.
