Not really. The element would be extremely prominet in the game whether you used it or not. A largr part of the theme of the game would shift drastically from futuristic to modern, and that's not what Destiny is about.

I've asked this many times before... How are the weapons of a game that significant? The story, setting, themes, etc. decide what a game is. Not the weapons or tools, which only act as vectors in which the players can interact with the game world.
