Legitimately the only thing I read on this forum is someone crying over how OP "Insert weapon here" is and how they think it should be nerfed. How everyone in Destiny is entitled to the Lighthouse and that bungie should just open it to everyone. Crying over not being able to find a team for PoE. How Xur should sell the Gjallarhorn.
Bungie finally makes an endgame for PVP players. What do the PvE stars do? Go cry on the forums over how PVP is too hard and how they wanna use what they want! But they cant because of Thorn! And if Bungie doesnt make the Lighthouse available to everyone then they are gonna quit Destiny. PVP players have been stuck at level 29, and level 31 ever since the beginning. But I dont see PVP players on here complaining over how the raids are too hard. Nope. PVP players dont complain. Its just the whiny little casuals who complain because they are forced to step out of their comfort zone and play against another human thats not going to miss every shot when they shoot at you. Like where did these people come from? If you came from CoD or Halo you should have no problem with this games PVP.
These nerfs are even worse. I dont think people understand that once the Thorn and TLW are nerfed. Red Death and Mida Tool are going to be the next OP weapons. Then we're gonna see all of these kids who cried about TLW and Thorn come onto these forums and cry about something else. Is it a foreign concept that certain weapons are going to be better than others? Just look at any other FPS. You know which guns are better than others. Personally the balance is absolutely fine. I have no problem using any of the main PVP weapons. I can do fine with Red Death, Mida Tool, Mythoclast, TLW, Thorn. It really doesnt matter. I honestly believe some people have way too high of expectations. You go into crucible with what a Word of Crota or something like that and expect to do well? Of course you wont do well using a weapon like that. TLW and Thorn were almost made exclusively for crucible. If you're using either one of them in PvE. You're doing something wrong lol. Likewise for all of the PvE weapons. The FateBringer is hands down the best PvE hand cannon. But does it excel in PVP? No it doesnt, because it was made for PvE. Not PVP.

Edited by CinReon: 6/16/2015 6:35:35 AMCant really say Thorn was "made for Crucible" the gun was bottom line terrible until it got buffed and even then didn't become relevant until after Suros was nerfed. Otherwise I agree with what you're saying, I was actually thinking about this not too long ago. My only gripe with pvp right now is Thorn's DoT it practically eliminates someones chance to get away if they manage to LoS(Line of sight) you so long as you hit them with enough shots the DoT will tick off and kill them. The only nerf I feel that gun heavily needs is preventing that from happening. Allow it to tick for its full duration but prevent it from actually killing you. For the one about Lighthouse... I personally feel the majority of complaints about it come from the fact that ToO weapons are Leagues better than PoE weapons not to mention they have a guaranteed drop chance once every week from the Lighthouse chest. PvE players on the other hand are salty about 1. Having to farm Skolas multiple times per week at a small chance(Elder Ciphers appear to have better drop rates at this point) to get a primary with elemental damage and possibly have the shittiest perk in the universe "Shank Burn". 2. The PoE primaries are by far the worst and seem to be the most lazily designed in terms of perks and stats in the entire game. Now I'm not saying PoE weapons should be better than ToO but really the incentive to work for them is pretty low due to their current status and I'd imagine most PvE players feel like they'd rather throw themselves in to PvP to actually get some worth while guns for this expac current content(Not everyone wants to revisit VoG or CE). Really at this moment in time I'm more than sure people only run Skolas for Rep and a higher chance to get an Elder Cipher otherwise hes pretty pointless.(It's not like the 35 chest at the end has great rewards either other than a ship and shader.) To sum it all up, PvE players should focus more on getting Bungies attention on how terrible the PoE rewards are compared to everything else(apparently we got their attention on Skolas being too hard which I don't really feel his nerf was necessary or even that important). PvE players should also let the PvP players have something for once, which is amazing weapons outside of IB and something they can do to provide their own form of "Endgame challenge". Albeit the complaints may never stop because no one will ever truly be satisfied but I do feel this would at least relive some of the stress in these forums.
