The Apocrypha is simply a book of church doctrine and historical accounts if I'm not mistaken. Mormons follow non-canonical doctrine/prophet so they aren't a part of Christian orthodoxy, they're more a cult than anything (I mean that in the least offensive way possible). It's just that their Book of Mormon contradicts the bible whereas the Apocrypha simply plays off of an interpretation.
