So this guy was a complete asshole to my little brother...

JUST NOW MY BROTHER BEAT SKOLAS AGAIN-AND GOT REWARDS THIS TIME! My 11 year old brother came to me in tears just now. He had just beaten Skolas with two other guys and IMMEDIATELY got kicked right after Skolas went down. Then, this guy invited his friend to get the rewards, and started being a complete dick to my little brother for no reason. My brother said they called him "really mean names," and I frankly don't want to think about what that could mean. Why do people do this? I don't understand. I don't care if it's the Internet and people can be dickheads over anonymity, this is horrible. My brother shouldn't come to me crying because of some dickhead loser kicking him from the treasure room. Edit: to those who don't believe me, check my bro's history "Donald Doge" Edit 2: bro just told me he was kicked right after Skolas went down, so he didn't even get the drops. I had gotten that part wrong, but I edited it now Edit 3: Someone researched this guy and apparently he's the Xbox Live version of KirmitTHEFrog, he kicks everyone and invites his friends after completing activities. I can't post gamertags, but if you could do me the favor of finding my bro's Skolas match from earlier today and report that guy, it'd be great Edit 4: I can't believe this community. The kid who glitched and got his characters deleted got nothing but support, yet my brother who beat Skolas, got kicked AND cursed at by adults is being told he shouldn't have been doing that. -blam!-ing really guys? I'm done with this site. Yeah, I should've monitored it better, I'm doing that from now on, but seriously?! I doubt many of you have kids or younger siblings. Smh

  • Why would you let your brother play Destiny in the first place? He's only 11, this game is not rated for that age. Your fault, now you complaing about how he cried, he wouldnt have cried if you didnt allow him to play this game. Therefore, your fault.

      • It's rated T for a reason. If he's not able to deal with assholes then he shouldn't be playing online games. It shouldn't happen, but it does.

      • Um. Not to be like a jerk or anything but that happens a lot and if he crus about it than maybe he should not be playing. I agree the people should not have kicked him but if he cannot handle "really meAn names" you might want to consider not letting him talk to people or even play with other people. Again what they did was wrong but he has to be able to handle it.
howener if an elleven year old can beat skolas tell him I said good job
That's not an excuse but people are like that in these type of games. It sucks for him though

      • At the end of the day, an 11 year old should NOT be playing with randoms on xbox live, its that simple. If your that concerned about your brother then help keep him off xbox live or help your parents to implement some parental controls.

        • Mute works well, also drop out & report the douche bags. Thicker skin and maybe consider 11 is too young for an online social game without supervision. There are rude idiots everywhere, best of luck

        • I'm gonna take this with a grain of salt for two reasons. A, he's too young to be playing Destiny. And B, my experience with children & gaming is that they should be avoided and muted at ALL costs. Obviously, not all kids are brats, but in gaming--specifically online FPSs--they are more often than not. Even if your story is true & your brother was just being bullied, who let an 11 year old play an online MP game alone & mic'd up with strangers?

          • Well you answered your own question its that people can be dickheads with no consequence. I feel sorry for your brother. I think they should add a system were if your on the boss or done with the boss you can't kick people.

Your ELEVEN year old brother shouldn't be playing Destiny... He should be playing Mario or donkey Kong. It's yours and your parents fault for even letting him play it. You should know people aren't the nicest on xbox live or psn.

              • hey dumbshit, ESRB doesnt RATE ONLINE INTERACTIONS FOR A REASON, Be a smart Elder and DONT let your little bro who OBVIOUSLY cant handle interaction between older people play online or with a microphone/chat enabled. People can do whatever they please in their own hosted game, and their own property

Look, that shouldn't have happened, and I feel for your brother and those dick turds should never be able to get another exotic drop again, but your brother is a little young to be playing a game like this. The content in Destiny alone is rated Teen, and then you mix in random online interactions on top of that? I wouldn't let anyone under age 14-15 (depending on maturity) have unfiltered access to the internet. You're just not ready before that for the firehose of douchiness (tm) that the anonymous internet can bring.

Skills I have acquired over a very long destiny forum topic. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my brother loot the damn PoE chest now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for your gamertag, I will not report you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will motherfuking report you! There you go, send them this...lol

                    • It sucks and I agree to some extent.. The world is full of bad people. But there is no way in hell my 11 year old would be playing a teen rated game with strangers. Asking for trouble.

                    • It's a learning lesson for an 11 year old. It's cool he was able to beat Skolas but he should really not be playing with adults. Would you allow your 11 year old to hang out with teenagers in person?
