JUST NOW MY BROTHER BEAT SKOLAS AGAIN-AND GOT REWARDS THIS TIME!
My 11 year old brother came to me in tears just now. He had just beaten Skolas with two other guys and IMMEDIATELY got kicked right after Skolas went down. Then, this guy invited his friend to get the rewards, and started being a complete dick to my little brother for no reason. My brother said they called him "really mean names," and I frankly don't want to think about what that could mean.
Why do people do this? I don't understand. I don't care if it's the Internet and people can be dickheads over anonymity, this is horrible. My brother shouldn't come to me crying because of some dickhead loser kicking him from the treasure room.
Edit: to those who don't believe me, check my bro's history "Donald Doge"
Edit 2: bro just told me he was kicked right after Skolas went down, so he didn't even get the drops. I had gotten that part wrong, but I edited it now
Edit 3: Someone researched this guy and apparently he's the Xbox Live version of KirmitTHEFrog, he kicks everyone and invites his friends after completing activities. I can't post gamertags, but if you could do me the favor of finding my bro's Skolas match from earlier today and report that guy, it'd be great
Edit 4: I can't believe this community. The kid who glitched and got his characters deleted got nothing but support, yet my brother who beat Skolas, got kicked AND cursed at by adults is being told he shouldn't have been doing that. -blam!-ing really guys? I'm done with this site. Yeah, I should've monitored it better, I'm doing that from now on, but seriously?! I doubt many of you have kids or younger siblings. Smh

Age has nothing to do with this people by this post I assume the little man did nothing wrong. Some people are just like this because they have power over these kids and abuse it.
-
I have a 13, 9, and 6 year old play. I play with them. They play with randoms at times but not trials past 28 and I don't take them into trials. Well except my 13 year old as he is one of the best players I've seen and played with. I teach them strategy Teamwork game play and when a kid gets something good there is nothing better then listening to true excitement about it. Us older people generally have a fake excitement about things. Bad parents = letting kids play? Doesn't make sense. We live in a digital world... Help your kids through them.... While the younger one's might get upset if something like this happens teach them how it didn't matter. Then grab a control and help them get what they think they lost. There will always be ignorant people.... Help your kids get thick skin and stop atta boy/girl logic. They'll be stronger and better because of it...
-
I don't get why people do this... The fun part of the game is playing through the damn content with your friends! The rewards are just a bonus. Plus this such a dick move its not even close to being funny. Your wasting at least a good 1-2 hours of this kids life because your friend was too lazy to actually play the damn game.

This is exactly why little kids have no business playing online games. Little kids have no business being online period. This could have been avoided if he had parents who exercised common sense and an older brother who did the same. Young kids can't handle situations as well as kids older and they are easily manipulated.

Edited by VII: 6/18/2015 2:47:39 AMDamn, that's a nice story bro, but im still trying to figure out how your 11 year old brother beat Skolas twice when I still haven't managed to once..

Edited by Spaceman: 6/18/2015 12:35:01 AMHearing the comments from this community should really give you an answer as to why it happened. If you are looking for blame, it's the community. If you are looking for more blame, it's Bungie. They developed a game based on grinding and farming to get the chance for the best gear through RNG. They still omit matchmaking, giving randoms God power to kick anyone they choose because we have to trust randoms. The community is to blame, but Bungie quite obviously has created this vile community through naive thinking on gameplay.

Edited by Kawaii Whale: 6/18/2015 4:10:36 AMI think after the final boss is KOd Kicking should be disabled. I am so sorry

Edited by Turtlessssssss: 6/18/2015 3:57:35 AMsome people suck. I'm sorry
-
Edited by Suledin: 6/18/2015 1:27:39 AMAge has nothing to do with this behavior, people. Whoever that was, is an asshole that shouldn't be allowed to play Destiny. Such players should be banned.

Examples like this is why I don't let my son play online, even though he constantly begs me to let him. There are people in this world that truly have nothing better to do or are such a miserable piece of sh!t that they have to try and bring others down with them into their misery, it loves company. All you can do is try not to let it get to you and hope that karma bits them ass later on.

Gr8 b8 m8.

Yeah that's total bs. If I kick someone its only when they drop in uninvited. But if they stay doesn't matter if my friends or clan members need it and are begging as long as you are helpful and not a total freak in chat I would never kick anyone from something that they helped do. You have to watch this community the hate is real. Tell your brother he only got kicked because he made some grown ass men look bad because they had to get help form a kid and they are just embarrassed.
-
Sorry to hear about that man. People can be complete a-holes on the internet. Even though it's a game they take the whole fun out of it. Their actions demonstrate their character (or lack thereof). Tell your lil bro to keep his head up and not let people like that ruin his day/person.

Do you smell what I smell???? Troll turd.

I think there's no reason in the entire freaking universe that someone should be kicked after Skolas has been killed. The fireteam leader shouldn't have the ability to kick people once Skolas health reaches a certain level, that way people don't kick others when Skolas health is about zero
-
Never trust ANY1 on the internet I'm 12 and I only have been online for 3/4 of a year and I have seen horrible people What I do is just say my mic is not working then take off my head set so I don't have to deal with the crap that they r saying But I feel horrible for your little brother I'll help him with skolas if he needs it

Edited by VASHTA NER4DA: 6/18/2015 1:27:48 AMIt's bullshit man, but this community has It's fair share of peices of shit. If he killed skolas, didnt get a cipher or weapon he didn't miss much. I have children of my own and in all honesty I would tell them it's not worth crying over. Report the douchebags and keep it moving. Asking for others to report him is asking folks to file false reports. Then again my son isn't allowed to talk to people he doesn't know. You shouldn't have to be his hero...thats your parents job.

Your brother should be happy he has the privilege to play Xbox. Most people don't have the funds to afford an Xbox, let alone a roof over their head. Instead of looking at it as he lost a shader, ship, and emblem. He should look at it and say, "Wow I have loving parents, brother, and siblings." Most people, like I said, don't. My condolences, and happy hunting:)

If he needs to be ran through another time add me and Ill help both of you out. Gt littleITALY28

This whole story is bull, how do i know this? because you cant invite someone after skolas is down to just collect the loot. the fireteam would have to wipe an redo the whole skolas fight anyway, so if they someone was going to kick someone to get their friends in they would of done it after clearing round 5.
-
If ur bro got kicked after being skolas then it sucks. It might also have been destiny servers doing their thang. But even if he was kicked - people can't join in and take his place at the end. The fire team left would have to wipe - meaning they would have to do skolas all over again. So not sure if ur story is believable as u are clearly making the part about inviting another person in up.
-
Edited by Hulkksmash: 6/17/2015 9:32:31 PMWithout wiping ... how did the friend get in there to get rewards? Also he's 11 and its teen game with disclaimers of online play may be not suitable. Maybe parents should parent if he's running into that shit and not let him play... just a thought
-
Yea sorry that happened to him. People can be real jerks!
-
I might be wrong here but don't u need to wipe to get anyone else in at skolas and after the fight isn't it a impossible to wipe? Not calling you a lair just think they kicked because they were (0ck wh0res, not to get there friend in
