Pre-order cancelled.
I'm unfortunately going to have to cancel my pre-order for The Taken King. I can not condone these types of business practices from such an esteemed company.
This is just as bad as having to buy the same game 2-3 times from different stores to unlock all the exclusive real life vendor dlc. I have to buy the game a second time so I can have a cool sparrow that I'll barely be able to see due to my character obscuring it, an exotic class armor piece that increases xp that I'll never be able to use because I need to rank up my factions, and emblems? How can you give out emblems to players? It was bad enough when you gave out emblems to people for being on bungie.net for way too long, now you give it out exclusively to new players and only give us some measly loyalty emblem?
I can't tolerate this any longer, I'm going to have to go play TESO instead where I can buy a horse for 25 dollars.

3 RepliesI will probably get ripped for this, the community loves to rip each other, but the extras that come with buying the collectors edition are to attract new buyers and collectors. That's why you get extra goodies. I have been here since day one too, but I don't feel "entitled" or "ripped off". Mostly because anything I can think of is more expensive for those that want it first, ie early adopters. We want the latest car, but the next model has extras we paid for included in the base model, you buy a new TV right when technology hits and a year later you're adding to it at a higher price than those who waited. If you don't want to spend a fortune, wait. If you can't wait, then don't complain. Just because you were first doesn't mean you should get everything that comes after. Somethings are reserved for special situations. And to those who have the wrong mindset, think of it this way... you played 500 hours on a game that has cost $100 so far, that's 20 cents an hour. Where else in the world can you get all this entertainment for 20 cents an hour??? Calm the fridge down yall! Geez

I'm done. I payed MORE, and.backed this game from the start. Yet apperently people who payed less and joined late get more. I'm done defending Bungie and these practices.

Both have a million times more to offer than destiny or bungie will deliver to its old loyal fan base. But destiny will become a page in unremembered history just like every other lack luster money hungry corporate slugs in the past.

Gee, thanks for creating this post. Everyone needs to know you cancelled a pre order. It's very important to all of us. I would also like to give everyone some very important information. I bought a pair of shorts yesterday but when I got home I tried them on and they were a little bit too big so I returned them and got my money back. I know everyone wanted gear that story because it too is very important.

Either way, some will play and have a great time and others will go and complain some more. Thanks for the long winded complaint about not buying the new dlc. Can we have a half decent and constructive comment about the game now please.
