Yes! Of course everybody on the internet is out to get your children. We should just shut them out of the rest of society and let them become shut ins with no social life. The guys that did this did it to him regardless of age and are just assholes. I'm willing to bet anybody gullible enough to believe them would have fallen for that. The fact that he most likely sounds his age is probably the reason they felt they can easily do that to him, I'll give you that but that is just a lesson to be learned by the kid. Like i said before, those guys are just assholes and anything they said is meaningless and holds no merritt. If it was about his skill or age, they really can't say anything when you need help from an eleven year-old. If they were trying to hurt him personally, they don't know him and it was probably all slanderous.
