Feels like someone has played lots of Battlefield with a hint of CoD.

  • Lol I was just thinking that, did this guy actually just suggest they put CoD weapons in Destiny? Hilarious. Where would they even get ammo, fire up a Stalingrad factory that has been rusting for 500 years?

  • "CoD" weapons? Smh. Also, you do realize that the guns in the current time period still use ammo that is no different from now. Right?

  • Brb going to the gun store to buy ammo for this fusion rifle. Have you even played this game?

Are you sure you haven't been playing yourself? Look at the sheer amounts of guns that still use the same mechanics as modem rifles."Iridium-core rounds?" One of the most common modifications? Iridium is a solid, if you haven't ever took your high school chemistry. Sure, there are fusion rifles. But look... Scout Rifles, Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, etc. Where's your common sense? Don't refer to the minority of the weapons, such as a Fusion Rifle. Hell, even Fusion Rifles use the IRIDIUM-CORE ROUND modification LOL. That doesn't even make any sense.

  • You're hopeless. Enjoy the game dude. Maybe in Destiny 4 they will give you an mp5, some frag grenades, and airstrikes.

Hopeless? I think not. Rather, it seems that you know I'm right; but it also seems that you wish to put it off with an attempt to look clever.

  • Ok, you roped me in. Should have let it die, but your pride got in the way. Once again, let me reiterate this is a bad idea, for the simple fact that in a fantasy future setting where you can channel the power of the sun to catch enemies on fire, old weapons wouldn't work. Do ballistics or the concepts that make guns kill change in the future? No. Poking a hole in something's body tends to kill it, and that never changes. Unless you have a token godlike entity that can bring the dead back to life millions of times of course. Does iridium remain a super dense element whose mass makes it penetrate further? Sure. So it's not going away, at least not conceptually. Not only that but it is somewhat relatable, although depleted uranium is more practical and believable. But this isn't a game about real guns, practicality, or reality. It's a game full of space magic, teleportation, magazines that don't need to be reloaded, alien weaponry and armor that makes the user invisible. You never addressed my point about where the ammo would even come from. There are no primers. There is no gunpowder. Weapons are mainly energy based. Fusion rifles use batteries. The closest thing we got to modern day weapons is literally one of the worst guns in the game. Now, if you had suggested gun models that used the new ammo types, I wouldn't have been so critical. I know it's popular to jump on "wouldn't it be cool if" bandwagons, but I had to pump the brakes for this one. At the end of the day, forty million games have used these weapons and they are boring and out of place in this setting. Even CoD has moved away from real world guns.

  • Also, I will add that point you spoke of, concerning the weapons using upgraded ammo. I will be adding that to this thread's points and giving you credit.

Finally! Constructive criticism. That's what I was looking for. I apologize if my way of getting you to say something constructive seemed rude, and even misleading. Over the lifespan of this thread, I've been dealing with very close-minded and rude people left and right. I keep asking for constructive criticism, yet those trolls never bother to do so; instead, choosing to tell me to go play CoD or Battlefield.
