This isn't really a personal response to you but your SWTOR reference made me think,
I get what you're saying but as a day one SWTOR player ( I unsubbed and quit playing when they added the cartel market ) let me just say this. EA is to Bioware what Activision is to Bungie. It's the publishers job to make a game profitable. Which usually translates into doing things that we as users arn't going to like.
People bitch and complain way too much. If you're not happy with the direction the game you're playing is taking then it's simple, quit playing and walk away. That action says volumes more than bitching on forums until the end of time.
I couldn't stand the direction SWTOR was taking. Coupled with issues I already had with the game, I decided it was time to walk. I quit giving them my money and quit playing their game. I didn't make a big dramatic forum post about it, I just walked away. One last thing, You know how many times I've been back to the SWTOR forums since then? 0
