Well that email "confirmed" a raid & then the lead up to HoW we kept hearing rumblings of a raid...
Then they "pulled" a planned raid from the expansion after "thinking long and hard about it"....
It's pretty obvious that they had a raid & wanted to drop it, but just weren't prepared... Which is kinda sad considering they were thinking about it waaayyyy back before launch.

Get what you're saying but I would see that email as confirming they planned to have a raid rather than confirming a raid. I know it probably sounds really pedantic but there is a difference. I also fully believe that had TDB not been so poorly received we would've had another raid by now. Personally I'd rather they pulled it and made it into something good than throw another crota at us. I guess time will tell whether that's actually what happened or not though

Does nobody realize that there could have been a raid planned for HoW but when they released TDB and saw how much of a failure crota was... They decided to take a different route and came up with PoE... Now the weapons associated with it sucks monkey balls... Unless ur a special snow flake and received a bounty... So now that they have more time to put more effort into TTK... Let's see how epic it's going to be...Destiny is and will be a growing evolution despite having activision hand in the pot

That's pretty much how I've taken the while thing. I guess time will tell whether that's the case or not though. Here's hoping ☺
