How many Spartan 2s were there originally?
Also, what were the Carver findings?

75 Candidates. Around half were maimed or killed. Though the actual number of those killed/maimed may not be accurate given some ONI cover ups (Osman) and Halsey's notes on rehabilitating those who didn't complete the augmentation process.

What about those who completed the Augmentation, those who went on to become Active Spartans?Like the Chief? And in case you didn't see the edit, I also queried about the Carver findings.

Again, that number may not be entirely accurate as well, but on 2525, only 33 Spartan-IIs were confirmed to have survived the augmentations. Dr. Carver was a mathematician who created a formula that could estimate the number of deaths as a result of conflict based on the current socio-political state of humanity. His initial findings estimated several million humans dead from the oncoming conflict. Dr. Halsey however noticed that his equation was incorrect. Upon fixing it, the corrected output estimated not millions, but billions of human casualties. This correction ultimately lead to Dr. Carver's suicide, and Dr. Halsey and ONI's motivation to curb the coming bloodbath.

I haven't heard of this "Carver" stuff before but I'm guessing this was about the rebels and conflict in the outer colonies before the covenant war?

Edited by Flud7: 6/20/2015 6:48:53 PMWhere was Naomi-010 last seen or heard and where is she now? And wow, I can see why he commited suicide. My mind would be blown as well after a revelation like that. And what's your personal opinion of ONI. I used to think they were the "Evil humanity needed" but that certainly changed after the Hunt the Truth series.

I believe the last point of reference was the UNSC Port Stanley, 2553. ONI has far too much power, but they were instrumental in prolonging and surviving the Covenant War,

Thanks for the answers!
