Just yesterday we saw a 4 year old girl standing next to a very busy road by herself. The cops watched over her until the baby sitter who had left her there got back. What would you do in times like that? Just leave? Just leave a child next to traffic? It's not like some random person can be trusted to do it.

    • Ahh yet another example of a few bad apples ruining the whole batch. Most cops are good people looking to protect and serve properly

        • This is why you carry a bag of donuts on you at all times When you feel threatened by a cop, you throw the donuts on the ground and run. Similar to a piece of steak and a guard dog.

Why do you put #lincoln by your posts Lincoln? Makes it seem like you're a troll wanting attention. Britton didn't with his police post. Also, you have yet to say and answer people's requests as to how you'd replace police as law enforcement officials and fix this problem.

            • Are there people who misuse power? Yes. Unfortunately, it is in human nature to seek power. Oh, you don't seek power? Good for you, you overcame human nature. Guess what? Other cops are in that same situation, and they don't seek to abide power. They seek to use what means they can to serve and protect others. And there are some times where the poor guy just had a bad day. Everybody has them. Maybe he saw something disturbing on the last job, and he's carried that with him. I'm not saying this trying to excuse the fact that there are times when police can turn violent. I'm saying it to remind you that they're humans too. They have feelings, mistakes and bad days just like you. When you work for the government, you have nearly every single phone camera near you watching. Observing. Judging. For years before a certain day, they may have behaved properly. All of those days have been recorded by passerbys, but those videos aren't dramatic, so they don't even get any form of media cover even if it gets uploaded. But one day, something bad happens. He does something stupid and violent. Those silent cameras now turn on him, and since it's dramatic, everybody wants to see. That doesn't happen to everybody else though. There's nobody watching you 24/7, nobody to catch your mess ups on video.

              • What's your beef with police? Did u or one of your family get tazed or beaten for not listening to the police? It's simple; even if you're in the right, do what the cop says and you won't get your ass beat. Like when people sprint from their cars after getting pulled over. Dude, wtf did you think was going to happen? The cop was going to ask you out for lunch after he catches you? No he's going to rightfully f*uck you up.

                • I'm half and half. Sure, there are lots of unjust cops out there that use unnessecary force, but you can't judge the ENTIRE police force just based on what some cops have done. Bad apples spoil the bunch though I guess.

                • A police officer has looser restrictions in America when it comes to self defense than American soldiers have in combat zones.

                  • It's not near the majority of cops, but just by size and scope there are going to be hundreds maybe thousands of cases of bad cops.
