People don't mind kids playing on Destiny as long as they're not seen as kids. Nobody really knows or cares until they use a mic. Of course you can have the voice of Christopher Lee and be 14 and no one would know the difference. Reason why it seems to urk people when they hear a "squeaker" is because well, it's annoying to hear sorry to say lol
I don't have an issue but the thought of "this kid sounds like they are [i]drastically[/i] under 18, and they're playing a rated M game" always comes up. More in the reason of "I wonder how they got the copy lol".
Everybody thinks high pitch / helium voices are amusing at times, but nobody likes its blasting into your headset
