Dear Dev Team,
I was really hoping that we could get more vehicles to earn, and i don't mean more sparrows. While Sparrows are nice a better variety would be really nice.
We have these Cool looking Pikes and Heavy Pikes, not to mention the Cabal ones. Could you make these available for use? I'm sure some others will agree with me on this, we don't want ones that are armed, as that would be over-powered for strikes and patrol. But if you took off the weapons and made them Captured Vehicles, with different paint schemes for the individual House or Cabal group they come from.
It would add some amazing variety to the game, and i understand that it would take some work to do, What with needing to make Animations for it Materializing and Dematerializing, changing the Boost triggers and adding Braking animations. But i will be honest these would bring some new life into Patrols.
If these werent already rideable ingame i wouldnt ask as that would take a lot of animating, but with them there it would honestly be great fun to be able to drive one a round whenever i want. The Pike is honestly one of the best looking vehicles in the game.!
Thank You
Il Shadow

Love the idea, like if you completed the POE level 25 your would get one that looks like a heavy pike!

Destiny needs to use vehicular combat. There is like one strike with vehicular combat and I have never used a vehicle in the crucible. Is there even vehicles in the control mode? One of the best ways you could cooperate in the Halo campaign was to have one guy driving a warthog and another one shooting. In destiny there is no real working together in the campaign in the same dependant way. And flying vehicles, mix up the shooting with flying and other vehicles. Fun enemy vehicles that are not just bulletsponges. The old scarab had to be climed and blown up from the inside. A bossfight that couldn't be killed with an auto rifle. Ground and air fights at the same time makes for more cooperation when you need one guardian to take care of the enemies fireing from above. Also why are there no friendly npcs? Is that something bungie has said they dont want to use? Because they create yet another interesting way of taking the focus from just shooting. It gives the player the ability to save people by moving quickly and skillfully. Another interesting mechanic would be to let people help you in story missions. Lets say there is an epic battle in the campaign, why not bring in reinforcement as guardians in dropships or droppods. You could use the dark souls way of having people sign up for droptrooper service in the tower and giving them the option to help someone in a story mission with a prompt. Like a covenant ring from dark souls. I use to love when I got reinforcement in halo. Makes it feel more alive, like you are not fighting alone.

Vehicle combat is sadly a mere shell of what we know they're capable of. I hate to bring up halo every time they need to change something but let's be honest: if you played halo, any great memory from that series most likely has a vehicle involved. Destiny has four vehicles: the sparrow which hardly counts as a vehicle and more of a ferry from mission tour stop to mission tour stop. The pike which exists on three pvp maps we never see, a miniature rare public event, a story mission on the moon which is easily missed, and a brief moment during a strike. The interceptor which is also featured on two maps we never see, and a brief moment during a strike, but because it's so weak no one really uses it except to ram the majors. And the Heavy Pike which makes the first mission of HoW fun, but again is short lived and you can sometimes stumble on one in patrol. Maybe. Pvp side, the lack of vehicles is endemic to Bungie's newfound fear of large maps. Bastion, First Light and Skyshock aren't the best maps in the world but Bungie is terrified of putting them in rotation outside of a rare playlist. Is it because everyone can spawn with a sniper? Your guess is as good as mine. Pvp can greatly improve by adding vehicle combat and buffing current vehicles. The Alpha interceptor was too powerful, but now it simply can't stand up to any kind of fire or you just get shot out the back way too easily to even consider running a vehicle. Multi seat vehicles, not necessarily a warthog knockoff but maybe some kind of heavy sparrow with either a small turret or simply a back seat could go a long way. Maybe a small aircraft that can't go too high but can hover around and shoot things? Making maps for these vehicles will also satisfy the lack of large maps in the current pool and the general lack of use of scout rifles. Trust me blink shotgun doesn't fly on first light but it's the only thing you'll see on cauldron. Pve also benefits from more vehicle encounters by splitting up the missions a bit. "Defend three waves while dinklebot opens a door" followed by "kill the big thing" over and over really makes the game less enjoyable when we're grinding activities for loot. The first house of wolves mission got my hopes up for more vehicle combat but we never saw it again.

Edited by ubermorph3000: 8/31/2015 4:01:39 AMSurely you have seen the fan made exotic sparrows based off of exotic weapons. A cool one would be a Plan C sparrow with two knives mounted on the front fins.

OOOHhhhhh yeah....I kinda wish (as an added easter egg or for a special vehicle) they could add "Vehicular Manslaughter!" from Halo. I mean....they're Bungie...they have the right to do that lol.

I would also like to get some Feedback from my fellow community members. Would also like to nicely add to this? Would you like more variety to our only mode of transportation on the ground? And please we all know that if we do get pikes they will not be armed, so please keep it civil and withing reason.

That would be a 20€ dlc

As long as they don't have guns on them. They should only be used to travel.

If Bungie nerf our weapons why not nerf the enemies weapons. It seems that we guardians always get punish in a way when Bungie do some update patch note and the enemies still get powerful and that include the lower level enemies they still have some punch with their weapon. What is the point to upgrade a guardian to the next light level and upgrade a weapon to the max and it still not as powerful as the enemies weapons. What's the point to become legend of we are going spend hours trying to do one level. If you nerf the weapons then why not give everyone who don't have those weapons and just called it a day.
