I am simply curious as to what the more popular reasons are for people who are against the use of cannabis.
So if you are against it, what is your reason?

Not against it any more than I am against tobacco or alcohol. Not a huge fan of either of those though. It can impair judgement so it isn't work appropriate, it does have a negative effect on the lungs when inhaled, and prolonged use (like any psychotropic substance) will alter certain receptors in the brain. Whether or not those are effects as bad or not as bad as legal substances I don't know. I suspect it varies by individual, duration of exposure, and frequency of exposure. I guess what bugs me about it is the inflated propaganda that weed is only beneficial or in no way harmful, which is as untrue as the anti-marijuana propaganda like Reefer Madness. I also get tired of hearing "medicinal" when that's usually being applied as an end run around the law. Some users do get a medical benefit, the others need to get the laws changed instead of blowing smoke.
