Deej is the PR man. It's his job to assuage any anger and dissatisfaction from fans and players. He gets paid a lot of money to come up with creative ways to make you feel loved and appreciated, keeping a veil over the truth, which is that the ONLY thing that matters to Bungie is how many of you will shell out money for their product. Smith, for whatever reason, chose the worst possible moment to reveal his honest feelings about the player base. The company does not love you. They probably don't even like you. But they will try their hardest to make you believe otherwise. Smith went off-message and created a nightmare, simply because he told the truth. People will react one of two ways. Some with shrug, and say "whatever, just give me more content". Others will finally say they've had enough, that it's one thing to pay a premium for sparse content, but not when worms like this simply presume you'll "throw money" at Activision/Bungie even though they regard you with disdain. Make your choice.

I was taken back by the price at first, but after HoW (which did surprise us all in actual fact) I figured this would be a good package. Alas, the entitled drew their keyboards in the virtual warrior way...instead of being patient. Every game does this. I bought shadow of mordor and all the DLC, last night on my way to get batman I saw the GOTY edition....with everything in it for far less then I paid...did I kick the GAME staff in the chin?! Or pull my hair out? [b]NO[/b] Because games have been doing this for years, but alas because destiny is popular it draws negative attention for every positive it puts out there...unfortunately people are easily blinded and follow like sheep. As a wise man once said; "Calm your tits love."

I'm not going to speculate what those rewards will be, but it is also confirmed that NPCs/vendors in the Tower will be giving stuff out to the players as well. All of this info has been available since the E3 trailer came out, but everyone has been too up in arms about the CE that they haven't noticed it.

i already pre-ordered my collectors edition for the xbox one i just bought 2 days ago. i will enjoy all the fancy in game toys as well as my magical strange coin replica that i will put with all of my other collectors edition memorabilia from all of bungies past releases. i paid more just to have that collectors edition, it's about time bungie stopped listening to poor crybabies. if you spend more money to get the better editions you deserve more and better things, its just business like anything else in the world. you can go in to the mercedes dealer and tell them you want a C-230 piece of crap base line mercedes or you can tell them you want the SLR mclaren edition. you should get what you pay for, not cater to the people who don't want to spend the money to get the special things. i like having the valkyrie ship from the ghost edition, because no matter how many raids people do or queens missions, trials, factions ect none of them can ever get the ship unless they have the ghost edition. it was a bit disappointng that the ghost edition was alot more out of game content as opposed to in game content, it came with a crappy emblem, useless early access to vanguard armory, the frontier ghost shell which is ugly but at least not the regular white one everyone has, and the ship which is pretty good. it should have came with at least a few emblems and shaders, maybe a sparrow and some unique weapon skins for 150 dollars. hopefully this 80 dollars for an expansion isn't as disappointing.

2 RepliesWe should get EXACTLY what comes with the collectors edition, and then some...i had every confidence that bungie would correct this obvious oversight, but I've lost hope...after all, without us, bungie employees would be working at a car wash right now...veterans supported this game when the issues where glaring, sat through a mediocre AT BEST TDB that erased all our progress, getting disconnected every 5 minutes, glitchy bosses, all the problems we sat through, the money lots of people donated to napal relief (lie to yourselves if you like, i have no problem with charity, but if you did it thru bungie, chances are you did it for the in game extras) ...all to be told we're basicallyi diots who will throw money at our tv's for an electric slide

2 RepliesNot to be a downer. But even if we get all that along with some super cool emotes or class items we still have a problem. The VIP status can be gotten by everyone before sometime next year. Meaning people who buy the collectors edition that are new to destiny will get the collector stuff plus the new VIP stuff. Hopefully the seriously look at what they define is a VIP.
