Well if that's how they feel. BMW does it, Apple does it, many top brands do it.

Not to this extent. It's like apple saying here's the iphone 6, you can buy it new if you switch from a different phone (not service provider) and get a free iPad, or you can buy it new and trade in your old iphone for $5 and a -blam!- you.
