We'll my question is I am a day one player but I transfered from Xbox to ps4 in December so would I be considered a complete day one player?

As long as you got to light level 30 or bought the first two DLC's before August 31 then play the Taken King then you get the Founder's Stuff.

The special emblem, shader, sparrow, and other things that year one players will be getting are available to those who own both dlcs (The Dark Below and House of Wolves) or those who have at least one level 30 character, all before August 31st. So as long as you meet one of those options then yes you will get the VIP rewards since you are Year 1 rather than Day 1.
