DeeJ is awesome... But I still haven't seen any proof that this alleged interview actually happened.

Proof? Consider this: Deej would not respond to a fictitious interview. Q.E.D
-
Which is why he didn't.

Either Forbes and Business Insider don't fact check their stories, or the interview in question did actually occur. If you have verifiable sources which indicate the interview never happened, post them. Otherwise, concede. http://www.businessinsider.com/destiny-the-taken-king-pricing-controversy-bungie-luke-smith-defend-rebuying-content-2015-6 http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2015/06/22/bungies-disastrous-taken-king-interview-could-have-ramifications-for-destiny/

I don't need to prove that it didn't happen if no one can prove that it did. Nothing exists until it is proven that it does. Not the other way around. Still waiting for some evidence.
-
Wow. Two reputable publications reference the same interview yet you are waiting for proof the interview happened. Maybe you're one of those "the moon landing was fake" and "the U.S. government brought down the WTC" kooks. When deej posts the update and it addresses the discussion referenced in the interview and the pieces I posted earlier maybe you'll believe then, but I doubt it. Probably be a "that's a fake deej account" thread.
-
There is proof that the moon landing occurred. There is more than enough evidence that extremists were behind 9/11. I have seen absolutely nothing to suggest that this interview happened. Journalists referencing journalists is not evidence. All they did was pull from the Eurogamer article and bash Bungie. The Forbes article in particular was disgusting. Neither article even tried to get Bungie's side of the story. That seems suspicious to me. Journalists capitalize on anger and hysteria. They create articles with the sole purpose to light and fan the flames of controversy. They influence the opinions of the majority and then feed them what they want to hear. They ignore any facts that contradict the message they want to present. If DeeJ acknowledges the interview as legit, I will happily eat my words. He's an official source. Until then, I'd rather put faith in Bungie than some scummy journalists.
-
So...Luke Smith owned up to the Eurogamer interview in today's Weekly Update. No biggie man - GG.
-
Fair enough. Like I said, that's an official source, and it has been confirmed. This doesn't change the fact that journalists will do anything to get a story, then twist it to match their point of view. I simply don't trust news outlets, especially ones born on the web.

Oh look, it's the same fake interview.
-
Do you have any reason whatsoever to claim its fake? Or are you just assuming that no one at Bungie would be that uncompromisingly stupid?
-
I have faith in the professional conduct of a normal person in that situation, yes. Given that no one can offer any proof whatsoever that it did, in fact, happen, I see no reason to jump to conclusions. Sites make up BS like this all the time to increase views/ revenue. In other words, I'd rather put my trust in Bungie than the murky ethics of wannabe journalists.
-
By that logic we should disregard all written interviews as complete crap. And given Bungie's track record I don't find the interview entirely impossible. I would be very willing to believe that it was embellished upon though.
-
No. I believe they should be taken with a grain of salt. Or 10. Or 50. No sane and sober human being behaves that way in an interview.
-
Luke is no sane and sober human, he's a pure, greedy Scrooge...
