No not really. It's a valid point. Welcome to supply and demand and value for goods. You didn't it find acceptable value so you don't get it. Someone else did and will now enjoy it. DeeJ admitted the entire paragraph wasn't addressing the point. Why include it then? A passive-aggressive jab is a reasonable answer.

There is a difference between it not addressing the point, by his own admission, and any interpretation that it was an intentionally passive aggressive jab. Either way, I revert to my original statement... I am an adult, & I don't have thin skin. People need to grow up and take a deep breath.

It's because the OP of the forum post wanted to buy the Collector's Edition so he was basically telling him that it's too late anyways to be getting riled up about it.
