Are you clowns giving me the right to bitch about Battlefield 4 too. Let me break this down. Battlefield 4: Released on 11/22/2013 For the year that it ran they had 5 DLC that gave you at least 4 new maps and 3 ish guns and other in game content. To much to look up. Also being a premium member had its on content separate from the DLC. Game $60. Battlefield Premium $50 Total is $110. Which provided more content destiny could ever try to do. Now on 10/21/2014, not even a total calendar year they made available what they called Battlefield 4 Premium Edition which cost $60 which included EVERYTHING from above. So to concluded this you are bitching because new players will be able to get everything for $60. That you payed $95 for. So step back and re-evaluate your action that you took on Bungie. -Cheers!

  • I applaud you comparing 2 dlcs and a game to 5 dlcs and a game, you even forgot to add the taken King to your math, congratulations

  • It's not the same. If in your comparison, there was a new Battlefield expansion that required you to buy the original game plus the existing DLC, that would be the same.

  • I don't think people are upset that new players get all the content at a discounted price, because they've missed out on a year of the game. I think most people are angry that we vets are going to have to shell out extra money to get the emblems, shaders, etc that we could be given with the $40 DLC. Instead we are being forced to buy the $80 one or not have access to those extras.

  • I personally do not care about the price drops or packaging. What I do care about is the proven disdain Bungie has for it's customers. They are real quick to fix anything that may benefit a player. Anything that affects player quality gets ignored. Then they go on record and show their disdain towards their own customers verbally. That I have a problem with. Being talked down to when true legitimate game problems are asked about, I have a problem with. Expect any money from me you need to show something at least. As far as Battlefield 4, it took them well over a year to have an actual playable game. They have to sell it at a discount just to have players. They took the blame the customer approach for all of the problems in the game, and it backfired badly.

You missed the point. Ya, price drops after a period of time. And games that come out with a GOTY edition or Premium edition (for BF4) are common place. What sets this apart is the fact that not only do you get all the content in the CE that day 1 players already have (no problems with this), but you are getting more than that. I'm not talking about the goofy book or coin or what not. I'm talking in game content that is completely unavailable to day 1 players. There is zero option of gaining these new items without buying content that we already own a second time as part of a package made to "catch up" new players. I don't care about the new emotes, those a silly to me. But, class specific items that I will never have the opportunity to obtain unless I, in essence, pay for three things that I already paid for once. If there was a simple upgrade feature where you can get the new DLC and these class items, then this would be a non-issue. New shaders, sparrow, emblem, blah blah blah are cool and all, but change nothing to your game play. Class specific armor and such do. We don't know quite just yet the perks and ratings of these new armor pieces. But, they could better than already released ones.

  • It's gonna be $135-$140 for Destiny players who bought each DLC up to TTK and who buy TTK digital download to be on the same page for a $60 Destiny with all that already. You forgot to include TTK in your pricing which puts it over B4.

  • I don't care about the price they both used the same tactics just like every other game does.

  • I already proved you wrong why are you still here? Also they aren't the same at all especially for countries other than the usa. Worst I've heard is Australia where Destiny up to TTK will cost $240 total? Where's that in your failed attempt at sounding smart?

  • I was just letting you know your original post has misinformation. I don't like this tactic as a consumer of it from the start, but it's good for their business without consideration of their gaming community.

  • He also didn't include bf4 dropping in price because it had the worst launch of any game to date. (Literally unplayable for 3 months, while they were getting sued, and having to refund players) Not to mention the bf4 pass he talked about is still valid today. In fact I got on to check and I had a shit ton of free stuff and four updates that added guns and modes ingame for free.

While others may be moaning about what you get my gripe is with what it costs us money wise is money an issue? No but what is an issue is purchasing an expansion for £40 which is $60 while yanks pay $40 which is £27. once again UK players get ripped off because our currency is stronger. That and other then complete idiots who wants to buy a game that has items we already own? It's like buying two copies of the same game for absolutely no reason. But best of all when asked about this Bungie literally has NOTHING to say it's no even a concealed money grab its fûcking robbery in broad day light in front of a crowd.

  • Don't forget Luke saying "I could put that emote up on the screen and you would throw money at it." Literally they don't even care enough to not make fun of the idiots like this guy who buy their shit without thinking.

Exactly I get that gaming is very much an 'each to their own' market but what many don't seem to realise is by endorsing shitty behaviour like this they aren't just doing it to themselves because other Devs see these idiots and assume that we will all do it affecting players of completely different Genres from completely different Devs. Gotta give Bungie Credit though at least they have enough balls to come out and not even Hide the fact it's a money grab nor that a fair portion of the player base are to thick to get what they are paying for.

  • Battlefield has gone down for multiple reasons. 1. A new battlefield came out (a completely new game) 2. The game lost a majority of its value on launch when it was literally unplayable for almost 3 months. In fact if you called Playstation/ea a few times you could keep bf4 and receive a full refund for the game because of how bad it was. 3. Their season pass was a one time deal you pay $100 get the game $60, and all future dlc. Even now if you log on and something is new you get it free if you have the pass.
