Very few understand these things anymore my good man. Those of us that get it, get it. The self-entitlement on the forums is getting out of control and makes me seriously wonder sometimes "is this a reflection of the next generation of gamers and kids in general?". Coming from someone that's been hardcore video gaming since the Atari 2600 and arcade machines.... this should hold some weight.
I agree with you, but is that last paragraph sarcasm?..... Please let it be sarcasm.

 • No, it isn't, I've really been into video games that long. I've seen many changes in the industry over a good deal of time and am aware of many business practices. Suddenly this is the I want everything now give me give me give me generation.

There is a pattern from generation to generation. I've also been around the gaming scene for quite awhile. Even being involved with the industry Itself. There is one thing that holds true; The generation before heavily influenced the generation of today. We (as in our generation) wanted more, we had our feedback, what we like and didn't like, and this gaming industry created and built based on what we wanted. Someone may (more than likely) have looked at what we wanted and called us spoiled and entitled. We may look at today's gamers and try to compare and use the old "back in my day speech", but in the end, we pioneered what is happening today. Even if our intentions weren't to have what we have now. I do not look down upon a monster, when I am the monster that created it.

 •
So you feel that your words are entitled to hold ground based on your experience as a gamer
No, I don't "feel that my words are entitled to hold ground". I know that my words hold ground based on a lot of time and experience. That's what's good about life experience, when you know you know your stuff vs when you have little experience and don't know what you're talking about but feel entitled to your input anyways. You go right on ahead believing you're part of some generation that created today's self entitled brats, that's how you personally feel. I'm not part of whatever generation you think you came up in. Apparently you're cool with creating today's brats that don't want to work for anything. Glad you feel like that's your fault, it probably is as an individual and how you handled your kids if you have any. I teach my kids to work for and appreciate the things they have and nothing gets handed out for free. Hard work gives greater rewards.

So this is more of a personal example. It is about you and yours compared to a generation. Not everyone today feels entitled (you know that of course). Though, one can argure that a majority does. Which is why I agreed with you. I was raised and also raise my own children to understand that "work gives greater rewards". I was also taught by individuals beyond generations that history does repeat itself. So I speak to them to understand as well as help those that I can. Not called them "brats" (That is what you called them...right.) and look down upon them. I know and have read about plenty of individuals who have and will admit they were spoiled and wanted more from the Atari generation on up. The desire for improvement is inevitable. Some if not a lot of these people became greedy. AGAIN why I agreed with you. Your debate is clearly based on a personal feel. Why mine is based overall. Which makes you appear no better than the "entitled" "brats" you speak of.
