If the only thing they'll understand is their profits taking a hit, then yes.
It's not that I think Destiny is beyond hope at this point. But under the tutelage of Activision, Bungie lost their initial concepts and aspirations for the game, opting to repackage content as DLC and butcher the story so as not to overwhelm CoD tweens (their target demographic, apparently).
A business operating in this mindset doesn't even consider making a quality product important anymore; hitting them in their wallets (as well as their numbers for active players) might make them reevaluate their priorities.
