I enjoy playing the game with my friend who lives too far away to visit regularly. It's how we stay connected. I'll pay for the DLC...I'm not going to rebuy everything I've done for a couple of shaders. I'm not going to spend more money for an exclusive sparrow or ship. I'll buy the new content when it is offered as long as my friend and I both enjoy playing it together.
