Not sure where you got your figures from, but in January of 2013 despite coming out a year later PS3 passed xbox360 in units sold. Neither Sony nor Mircosoft divulge the actual number of units per console sold anymore. They estimate by 10ths of 1 million. (That's per 100,000)
Further, Microsoft estimates over the life of the 360 they lost on average 1 billion a year and at the end of the "last gen" race were in the red. (That's negative in profits) Sony enjoyed a profitable run with the PS3.
The only reason Xbox was ahead in the beginning was due to it being released 14 months before the PS3.
Even more, Xbox admits that part of their sales are inflated due to the massive continued error codes their consoles had (red ring) and that when a new console had to be shipped out due to a previous one failing it was counted as a "unit sold" that also is part of the loss of profit the 360 and Microsoft encountered.

Didn't even click. You have been talking about 2013 up until now. The figures, however, still count. Seventh highest selling console of all time. PS3 is eighth.
-
Exactly, you don't want to be wrong. PS3 outsold 360. Plain and simple. This is why you don't get facts from wiki. They are not ways accurate. Anyone can change them and nobody is paid to maintain their accuracy.
-
You realize that isn't current right? That's as of 2013.
-
Yip, the figures you've been talking about are from July 2013. Did you want figures from a year other than the one you mentioned? Can you remember what you typed?
-
Just click the link. Admit you are wrong and move on. Kthx and baibai
-
I did. You're still wrong. Why have you changed from 2013 to 2015 all of a sudden? As I said, seventh highest selling console of all time. ALL time includes 2014 and 2015. PS3 is eighth.
-
Do you even know where to check any of your "facts"?
-
Ha ha haaaaa. Replacement consoles counted as units sold? Didn't Sony have much the same issue with the PS3? I'm sure they did.
-
Today's figures are 84 million Xbox 360's sold. 80 million PS3's. Why don't you check, instead of looking stupid by trying to argue a point that's just plain wrong? I don't care how much Microsoft lost, I don't remember that being mentioned till now. You said PS outsold MS. On that you're wrong. That's all I said.
