I love how people say:
One witcher story has more content then the whole of destiny story
I just reply with
Going to the tower has more multiplayer gameplay then witcher does
A lot of people just dont understand the reference but Destiny is not designed around a story mode ( witcher is ) so obviously its oging to have more story content then destiny.
You cant compare the 2.
Destiny is a love it or hate it game, and personally i -blam!-ing love it like i do think im slightly addicted to the game.
English
-
That statement right there is bullshit. Destiny was advertised to have a deep and immersive story
-
This. How we can compare two different things?
-
Two different games Both very enjoyable.
-
You can compare it easy mate 70 $ for witcher and 70$ for destiny witcher gives for that price around 200h gameplay that don't repeat 505132 times and is boring as shit like destiny
-
Thats your personal opinion.. im currently at 950+ hours on destiny. This has nothing to do with price, what it has to do with is comparing 2 games which are not a like. Witcher is based around a huge story mode.. of course it will have a huge story and more story content than destiny. Destiny is a 100% online game, as soon as i saw that i had in my head that it would be based on teams doing raids strikes PvP and what ever else was to come.. i raced through the story mode as fast as i could because the game doesnt really begin until you are level 20. Out of the 950+ hours ive played 16 hours has been done on story mode.. ive owned 3 warlocks a hunter and a titan which is on average 3.2 hours to complete the story mode of destiny. You are comparing a game which is built around a story mode to a game which is built around online game play. Its a retarded comparison.
-
Dude -blam!- multi-player yes it's fun in some aspects but a true gamer knows a good story based game without multi-player also holds its place in gaming. Most memorable games to me and many others have been straight story no online type of games.
-
You are missing the point of my comment and if you cant see it yourself it would be a waste of time attempting to explain it to you as your brain might melt.
-
This.
-
Your argument does not hold up. If having multiplayer restricts Destiny's ability to tell a story, then I would gladly do away with the multiplayer aspect. Gears of war made a worthwhile campaign story while having multiplayer and a great co-op campaign...close to 10 years ago, Destiny with a 500 million dollar budget should be able to do the same with flying colors.
-
The first gears of war campaign lasted 5 hours. You crazy
-
You do realize they didn't go through with the 500 million dollar investment right? It was only 10. And even then 10 million isn't a large amount for a 10 year game paying royalties, staff, marketing, maintenance, etc...
-
I bought the game never expecting an amazing story mode like the halo series had, i bought it for online raiding and gameplay with friends. Majority of people who make second accounts dont even finish the story mode they skip most of it buy doing bounties and leveling up faster to get to the end game content.. the average story mode is only a way of leveling, once you become level 20 the game really begins. Comparing it to a game like witcher which is heavily based on a story mode you would expect that it be a lot more in depth then destiny so coming in with the argument..
One witcher story has more content then the whole of destiny story
is stating the obvious just like me saying..
Going to the tower has more multiplayer gameplay then witcher does
-
Sorry you didn't expect shit for a story because 99% of the fan base/major game outlets, did.
-
For a game that is 100% online i was looking to be raiding doing strike patrolling or doing pvp.. not doing story mode over and over again with friends online
-
Again, glad you are happy with a less-than product. I was expecting a bit more out of the ultra hyped, $500,000,000, creators of Halo franchise, game. How silly.

Edited by bilbo t baginzz: 6/25/2015 4:41:35 AMYou have 726hours of game play so its obvious you havent been to let down now have you. You can always snap the disk in frustration and make a youtube video about it if you want to prove a point
-
I have 726 hours of playtime because I enjoyed the people I played with. Plain and simple. The game with its budget and team should EASILY be able to put together a deep campaign experience with multiplayer. Instead we got grimoire and a 6 hour campaign.

Edited by bilbo t baginzz: 6/25/2015 4:53:07 AMYe its not perfect but i play it for what it is.. which is not a story mode game lol. In saying that i didnt play bf4 story mode and im lvl 120 in that.. i dont enjoy story modes i feel as though you are stuck on a path going in a certian direction.. i feel trapped with stories i guess. And someone like yourself who is disappointed with story mode yet still has 726 house it shows the success of the game and just how addictive it is even if people are upset about a shit story.. so i doubt bungie care that much though i did read the new DLC will be much more story orientated and i like how theres seperate stories for each sub glass
