After the horrible Luke Smith interview it has become clear to me that Bungie doesn't give a shit about anything but money. Many of us have put a lot of effort into fighting for optional matchmaking on these forums and I just feel like Bungie is sitting back, collecting money, and having a good laugh.

I get that they think Raids and Nightfalls are the hardest content in this game and that a group of random players won't be able to conquer these tasks. I don't buy the bullshit that this is some ridiculous method to force us to "make friends." I've used LFG for several raids and have had some really bad experiences and a few really good experiences. LFG is basically 3rd party matchmaking. It's still random. You don't know these people. But now I've got to go somewhere else to find players to group up with. If we had matchmaking you could dive right in to this content with random people and at least start playing. It almost seems like Bungie is buying their own hype that their end game content is so difficult that only a well oiled machine can accomplish it so they believe there's no way matchmaking would work and that it's not even worth their time. This is both stupid and shortsighted. Let people jump right into the content and play. These artificial barriers are the height of ignorance.
