I think that what a lot of people miss is that the rivalry between warlock's and hunter's is friendly. Most of the descriptions for the gear is along the lines of "look at how much more fashionable I am than you!" And when they do insult each other, the insults seem playful; for example, the Hunters have an entire handbook to annoy warlocks. And most of the statements are making fun of warlock abilities (floofing about) Or denying facts (we learned how to blink from warlocks, but please don't admit that.) It really does seem like a friendly rivalry to me.
