Past gen console [i]users[/i] are not the reason why you can't have nice things. Bungie's [i]decision[/i] to support PS3/Xbox 360 is the reason why. The users do not make the decision on which platform(s) a game is released for. I think it was only supposed to be released on previous-gen consoles anyway. Then the new consoles were released, so they developed PS4/XB1 builds.
