Totally agree!
But...will I be playing the Witcher 3 for 500+ hours?
Answer: Probably not.
Which one will I continue playing for the next couple of months?
Answer: Destiny.
Which will be on my game shelf for months until I decide to play it "for old times"?
Answer: Witcher 3.
Which am I more likely to be playing in a year?
Answer: Destiny.
But the Witcher 3 is better? Why aren't I heavily invested in it to the point where I actively have to try to not play it? (Like I am with Destiny)
Will I be playing the Witcher 3 a year from now?
Answer: Probably not.
Conclusion: Yes, the Witcher 3 is, by gaming standards, better. However, I'm going to spend more time playing Destiny than the Witcher 3. Destiny will make more money than the Witcher 3. Destiny has a bigger fan base than the Witcher 3.
But thank god it has a story right?

You don't need to play one game more than another for it to be better. Like reading a book. You can read a book once, thoroughly enjoy it and recommend it to others. Or you can read the same book, re-read the chapters and purchase the sequels. Doesn't mean it's better, just that you like that book.

You are right but if a book is that good you will always end up back with it. Same with games, if it is that good it will keep you wanting to keep playing.
