I'm pretty sure I could beat all the content in Destiny within 12 hours.

How so? Maybe not with the expansions, but the vanilla game has barely any content. 8 hours to beat story. 2 hours to beat VoG. The rest to finish strikes, nightfall, weekly, etc.
