Destiny Community,
Destiny was rated 6.5/10 for a reason. I want Destiny to improve so I can keep playing, not get worse so I leave, I like the game; I don't love it (currently).
If you support this, don't JUST vote, bump and comment to get this trending and to stay in the spotlight, a silent vote doesn't work as well.
Before I start please read this poem to better understand our situation
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
Destiny is starting to turn out like another major gaming franchise, you all know who I mean. There is no real reason to provide a collectors editon (CE) for Destiny 1 TTK Expansion Edition, however that would be appropriate/acceptable for a Destiny 2. By creating a CE they have introduced un-timed exclusives which isn't smart as lots of the players like to collect stuff even without the vault space to fit it.
Nobody really wanted to pay for this stuff considering long term players have paid more than enough to get up to and including TTK, but because some players don't understand value vs percieved value the community has been slapped in the face with "pay $20 and get 9 items" which is a big microtransaction, if this sort of thing is allowed to stand soon season passes wont allow you to get everything during the 'season'.
Pricing is 100% fine for the physical CE and the legendary edition, they are perfectly priced IMO.
$40 for TTK is not ok when the previous DLC 1&2 were poorly recieved, I understand TTK looks (so far) like it will be awesome, but you DO NOT get to charge this high a price point to CONTINUE after the initial release was a small rock dropped in an ocean and the DLC's were a couple of ripples through the sea.
Charging $20/$25 IMO would be the best price point (the best would be free as a thank you for all the f---ups over the year, but I don't see that happening and don't think it as absolutely necessary) and this would honestly make a lot of Destiny players feel like you care that they stuck around through all the BS.
Stay strong guardians, protect your light
PS: A couple things 1.) Deej doesn't make the game and has no (real) power, don't give him a hard time. 2.) ACTIVISION is the publisher; this means they are the ones either soley or mostly responsible for pricing in the game.

Comparing bungie/destiny to the -godwinslaw!-, that has to be a new low. Gr8 troll.

Only thing I'm concerned about is who this other major gaming franchise is you speak of.
-
They won't listen to feedback unless we get a live interview. My plan is as follows; challenge them to a race to raid The VoG.
-
The reason I buy the dlcs and will continue to do so is because the more people that buy it the better the content will be. Destiny has an PC game feel almost but it's the kind that requires a lot, the kind that would have a monthly subscription. As well as that destiny also has been changing. Vanilla destiny when it first cane out was a lot lot different then what it is today what with the constant updates and each changing mini expansion. Activison kind of makes it terrible but the game will always be worth it in my opinion.

Did everyone like our something better for being 'vets'?

Preordering cause I care

Edited by D3a7hS7R1k3: 7/5/2015 5:58:23 AMThere are numerous game titles that i could use as an example for this situation however i won't because Destiny was supposed to be beyond that, a game like no other. Now it has become almost like every other out there. PvP should be dictated by the players, not the makers.

I'm a fan. Destiny has its issues. But I believe in bungie and the community to make it a better game. It is a 10 year long franchise and everything is a work in progress. Both the community and Bungie have things to learn. (I also felt led on also because of the early viDocs) Your poll I don't necessarily agree with because I'm buying the TTK but I also care. As a business owner, boycotts don't work a lot of the time. I like what you said about Deej. Activision, according to my understanding, has a lot to do with the pricing. But I think 40 dollars isn't too much to ask, IF it pulls through. Bungie is someone who listens but doesn't always respond because they don't have too. There will always be haters regardless.

I will buy it, but I won't pre order it. It actually amazes me how you could forget to add that option. I guess pre-ordering is the new purchasing. And then everyone complains about pre-order bonuses. Go figure.....

I threw money at my screen. Currently it's on the floor infront of my screen and I've yet to receive a confirmation. Wtf....

no reciprocity = my lack of caring Kind of difficult to care about anyone who only uses and abuses you. Same applies to real life just as much as the virtual one. Its becoming a very selfish world...

Edited by Icarus026: 7/4/2015 5:50:55 PMI'm not prrordering but I will wait a week to see the reviews. If it's good, then I'm buying and if not, well Bungievision isn't getting their money.

You literally make me sick. You use a poem written about the holocaust in -godwinslaw!- Germany and try and tie that human tragedy to game pricing? It's literally offensive that anyone would be as stupid as to compare one with the other. The lack of perspective is staggering. This isn't some grand social mission. It's a video game. It means nothing.

We are picking up speed everyone, we need everyone to get everyone they know to come vote/like/comment, make our voices be heard, the forums only represent a small portion of the community but accurately reflects our thoughts and feelings towards the game right now.

Bungievision suck!

Boo bungie boo

you say 6.5...but in reality it was a 4.5 out of the gate.
Yes, Destiny is capable of supporting hundreds of hours of play, but gamers are really just re-running content rather than experiencing anything new. All told it takes about 10 hours to complete the main story missions, and those are pretty thin to begin with. So, as the adage goes: fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
"I've played so many hours, where else can you get that sort of value, a movie costs you like $20 for a couple hours!?" Screams the misinformed and delusional Fanboy.

MAK speaks the truth unlike other youtubers who are directly making money just from destiny's existence and thus they neversay bad stuff. Check out the video from 2:50 onwards (the first part is info he got wrong which he mentions in the comments on the video) but this video will show you why you have a right to be annoyed when bungie announced the black shaders and stuff as the "something better" as we already knew that was coming LOL

Edited by Tyrone: 6/28/2015 6:06:18 AM
This pre-order bonus rids the whole process of unlocking cool items and characters of its sense of achievement, shifting the focus away from skill and placing it upon cash instead. Aside from it being anti-consumer in a business sense, it’s also not very fun, with this pre-order bonus only serving to reward those who will risk investing in game they haven’t played yet, rather than actually adding anything to the game itself.

There is positively no need for us to pre-order games in this day and age. The bonuses offered to us by publishers and developers are becoming much more exclusionary, moving away from little tokens of appreciation to things that can do damage to the game in the long run, all for the sake of driving in early sales.
Credit to Paul Tamburro from Craveonline.com (January 21st, 2015)

3% upswing in favour of not caring about being short changed... bungie should charge double the price for TTK to the 30% because you don't mind being overcharged ha!

The sad truth is the only one strong constant this game has had has been its music, yet not one interview of the team behind it nor any mentions of it in any of the posts you or others create, while music may not seem important, the atmosphere it creates when done sell is brilliant, however some pieces get completely missed due to 1, playing as 3 man team n chatting and two due to bring in Said team completing the level too quickly, go back solo every mission turn up the music and enjoy. Or better yet sell me the sound track bungie. It's the only thing you have in your arsenal I will actually pay good money for now.
