Destiny was rated 6.5/10 for a reason. I want Destiny to improve so I can keep playing, not get worse so I leave, I like the game; I don't love it (currently).

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
Destiny is starting to turn out like another major gaming franchise, you all know who I mean. There is no real reason to provide a collectors editon (CE) for Destiny 1 TTK Expansion Edition, however that would be appropriate/acceptable for a Destiny 2. By creating a CE they have introduced un-timed exclusives which isn't smart as lots of the players like to collect stuff even without the vault space to fit it.
Nobody really wanted to pay for this stuff considering long term players have paid more than enough to get up to and including TTK, but because some players don't understand value vs percieved value the community has been slapped in the face with "pay $20 and get 9 items" which is a big microtransaction, if this sort of thing is allowed to stand soon season passes wont allow you to get everything during the 'season'.
Pricing is 100% fine for the physical CE and the legendary edition, they are perfectly priced IMO.
$40 for TTK is not ok when the previous DLC 1&2 were poorly recieved, I understand TTK looks (so far) like it will be awesome, but you DO NOT get to charge this high a price point to CONTINUE after the initial release was a small rock dropped in an ocean and the DLC's were a couple of ripples through the sea.
Charging $20/$25 IMO would be the best price point (the best would be free as a thank you for all the f---ups over the year, but I don't see that happening and don't think it as absolutely necessary) and this would honestly make a lot of Destiny players feel like you care that they stuck around through all the BS.

PS: A couple things 1.) Deej doesn't make the game and has no (real) power, don't give him a hard time. 2.) ACTIVISION is the publisher; this means they are the ones either soley or mostly responsible for pricing in the game.

Iam going to play but I reallyy need more vault space to enjoy this game, lack of space is its biggest detriment and the fact stupid gun skins is on the feedback list instead demonstrating just how much they listen to feedback from consumers

I am glad to see someone else has the same views as me! The poll is a great idea. It is definitely the best way to approach this heated topic at the moment by voicing our concerns in a mature way. Complete agree that this DLC is hella over priced for what it is. After the hugely disappointing 1st and 2nd expansion I am definitely not buying TTK, especially at this price. They have over hyped this entire franchise since day 1. I have only played the game up to this bought because I was like many of you, fooled into buying the game with the expansion pass only to be let down by lackluster content and an appalling story telling experience. Thanks for creating this post!

I should be paying $52 AUD for TTK due to currency exchange. Am paying $70 AUD as base price. Not buying.
For the sake of my own personal amusement, and probably a few other people's too: I'm getting real tired of your ****, Tyrone~!
On another note, I agree with a lot of what you've said. Destiny is an exceptionally good game in comparison to the rinse, dry and repeat titles that players are swarming towards at this moment in time. However, a lot of your points are coming from the perspective of an average consumer, and not a developer or an artist. Granted, the pricing could be revised. $20 for Expansion One? No, the RAID isn't even a RAID... It's an overzealous Strike. Expansion Two was the make-or-break for me with Destiny. I was promised trading, customisation and a whole heap of other goodies when Destiny was in development, and we got given a game that still needed a whole year of development on top of it. Thankfully, I didn't actually pay the $35 price for the Expansion Pass, I won it in a bet. So it wasn't me that was directly affected by the expansions being a failure. It wasn't until I saw Expansion Two and the fact that the Digital Guardian Edition was $50 on the XBL Marketplace that I jumped on it - the reason being that I don't want to risk forking out the same price for another disc should I break it, which happens a lot. The Taken King's $40 price-tag was fair, considering it's basically a game on top of the game. In my opinion, $5 for EX1, $10 for EX2, and $20 for TTK.

Bumped. Although at this point I don't agree with even 20/25$. To me its not about the money anymore it's about the clear disrespect to its players. Customization options are not an incentive. I know I'm not buying TTK regardless of anything. If it's free I might buy the dlc/game whichever it goes to next. The problem is that if not for the Year One players this game would never of gotten to TTK, so why cater to new players and slap the players who got it this far? Fu** that, I'll just wait for 10 years when the story is completely done and pay 80-120$ for 10 years of content as a "new player" and miss out on the customization options which I card literally less than 0% about. Sorry rant.

Very nice thread. Agree with most of what you wrote. However, we disagree on DeeJ. He is a huckster, a swindler and a liar.

Bump. I've said my piece, in more places than one. This game is a disaster, the community placation a sham. I'll be playing until Fallout 4 hits, then I'm out.

Bump, I've loved this game but they can go get fuc ked now

You doorknobs have to recognize games like this either have monthly fees or paywalls. Destiny has neither so part of the upfront costs are for the constant maintenance and updating.
