He's saying feel free to prevent your own kids from playing. The rest of us will choose to parent as we see fit.
Video games don't make kids violent (neither does music). But "naturally violent" kids are attracted to them. Any kid, or adult, that plays games and performs violent acts was going to perform those acts regardless. As they say correlation does not equal causation.
Generally bad parenting is what makes kids actually violent.

Sure. If he's expressing an opinion and that is all, then I can respect that, but it sounded a bit pretentious and overprotective to me. Which in my experience is someone who wants to force their beliefs on others. Although I admit it's not universal. Which is why I kept my initial response brief.
