Satire or not, there is some truth to this. A majority of the Destiny community are really great people. I've rarely met trolls while actually playing the game. The forums however are very hit and miss, but this has a lot to do with trolls like to be heard, while those that are satisfied or want to be amused usually just watch, listen, and read in silence.
