Destiny was rated 6.5/10 for a reason. I want Destiny to improve so I can keep playing, not get worse so I leave, I like the game; I don't love it (currently).

Destiny is starting to turn out like another major gaming franchise, you all know who I mean. There is no real reason to provide a collectors editon (CE) for Destiny 1 TTK Expansion Edition, however that would be appropriate/acceptable for a Destiny 2. By creating a CE they have introduced un-timed exclusives which isn't smart as lots of the players like to collect stuff even without the vault space to fit it.
Nobody really wanted to pay for this stuff considering long term players have paid more than enough to get up to and including TTK, but because some players don't understand value vs percieved value the community has been slapped in the face with "pay $20 and get 9 items" which is a big microtransaction, if this sort of thing is allowed to stand soon season passes wont allow you to get everything during the 'season'.
Pricing is 100% fine for the physical CE and the legendary edition, they are perfectly priced IMO.
$40 for TTK is not ok when the previous DLC 1&2 were poorly recieved, I understand TTK looks (so far) like it will be awesome, but you DO NOT get to charge this high a price point to CONTINUE after the initial release was a small rock dropped in an ocean and the DLC's were a couple of ripples through the sea.
Charging $20/$25 IMO would be the best price point (the best would be free as a thank you for all the f---ups over the year, but I don't see that happening and don't think it as absolutely necessary) and this would honestly make a lot of Destiny players feel like you care that they stuck around through all the BS.

PS: A couple things 1.) Deej doesn't make the game and has no (real) power, don't give him a hard time. 2.) ACTIVISION is the publisher; this means they are the ones either soley or mostly responsible for pricing in the game.

Edited by BXR Lonestar: 6/27/2015 8:13:30 PMDon't care about the game anymore. Loved it when I first played in Beta and loved it even more when I met a ton of people to play with since launch date, but this game has slowly killed all of the fun I have had with it to the point my group is switching to another game until Bungie gets its head out of its ass and does some simple common-sense things to make the game less punishing and more enjoyable. Example? POE needs checkpoints. IDGAF about people who whine saying "but people will skip to the boss, waaaah." Are you kidding me? We are going to let a small number of gamers who aren't really interested in the actual GAME to hold the rest of the legit gamers hostage? Checkpoints are the right thing to do, period. Bungie tried to do a disconnection save feature and it is an epic fail! The first time I tried to do a lvl 35 Skolas post-patch, I had no problems until the pre-boss. I was not lagging at all and got errors several times that kept kicking me back to orbit. I reset modem/router, ran diagnostics and confirmed that my connection was FINE. I still kept getting kicked. Yet bungie reps kept telling me the errors were due to MY connection. I'm sure you all can guess that I didn't get to proceed on to Skolas (and neither did my fireteam!). The disconnection save didn't work to save OUR run. Regardless of WHOSE connection is at fault, a checkpoint just makes sense. If this ever happens, their answer seems to be "go back, do it again!" But considering how difficult and how much of a pain in the rear some rounds on the lvl 35 can be, this is panamount to torture! Its simply NOT fun anymore at that point. Not only is this content not fun due to the punishing mechanics of Prison of Elders, but it has funneled raid teams with strong bonds into 3 man groups, meaning we are all separated into tiny groups. I have a lot of people in my clan (or what I think is a lot), and if I hadn't quit to play another game (Defiance!), I would hardly get to play with any of them. The mechanics of the game have made raids irrelevant and broken up happy 6 man teams! Finally, if you do not enjoy this DLC's content (Prison of Elders, Trials of Osiris), then your basically stuck in neutral. You literally cannot advance at a decent pace if you do not want to play Prison or Trials (Iron Banner is not here often enough and you can only realistically purchase 2 etheric light from Saladin; Nightfall does not have a high enough chance to drop them- its lower than chance of getting an exotic). So let me state this again. If you want to advance, you MUST play Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris. Otherwise, you are in no better position with this DLC than you were once you've completed all the content in Crota's End. Bungie, Trials and POE are great for those who enjoy them, but what are the rest of us supposed to do? Being forced to play these modes to advance has taken the fun out of the game. I have made numerous suggestions on how to improve the game and they all seem to get ignored. Even though I'm sure it'll fall on deaf and dumb ears and minds, I will ONCE AGAIN post my suggestions to make parts of the game more relevant and make the game more fun, expansive, and inclusive. 1. Checkpoints in Prison of Elders (see above comments) 2. Make daily heroic missions relevant again. On highest difficulty, you should get Ascendant materials from standard content, Radiant materials from Crota's End missions, and Chance of Etheric light (only once a week) for House of Wolves storyline missions. This makes the Daily more relevant! 3. Etheric light added to prizes for completing events. Limit one etheric light per week regardless of planet. Gives us a reason to farm events! 4. May Purchase etheric light from Xur (limit of 2 per week- its good enough for Iron Banner!) - this makes running the weekly heroic strikes more important. 5. Etheric light is now a random reward dropped while competing in the crucible, regardless of mode. Added to the treasure table, but the treasure table in crucible is so large, it will rarely drop which creates balance. It also allows those who like pvp but do not like how trials functions to earn etheric light. 6. How about a weekly heroic/nightfall bounty that's only available once a week through your chosen faction that allows you to choose your reward upon completion: 1) motes, 2) glimmer, 3) etheric light, or 4) strange coins. 7. Make Iron banner either a permanent fixture or come around more often than once a month. 8. Etheric light has random chance to spawn in the chest that appears after killing the Prowling Wolves. - make it roughly equivalent to the chances of getting legendary engrams (or even less). 9. Add etheric light to treasure tables in some aspect of each raid (give raid teams a chance to earn this stuff while playing together!) 10. Etheric light is now obtainable in Queen care packages. I don't care how you do it Bungie, these are just suggestions. IMO, the only one that is non-negotiable is checkpoints in POE. The bottom line is that this DLC has wrecked everything that has made this game fun for me and my group previously. If you want us to come back and play, bring back the fun. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way, but Destiny would be nothing if it wasn't for the groups of people we play with. But when you break us up and you force us to play content that isn't fun, we are going to go play something else. So what are you (Bungie) going to do about it?
