Why is it that all this community wants is everything to be handed out to them? The point of the etheric light is to make you work for it by playing the game. Just play the game and you will get it stop trying to purchase your way out of playing the damn game. That's what is wrong with this game everyone wants everything handed over to them. Shut up and play the game they're actually quite easy to come by

In case you forgot, but earning crucible or vanguard marks means you are playing the game... A lot.

Edited by DDkin9: 6/29/2015 1:11:46 AMImpossible. Each win in crucible gives 3 marks. So it takes 33.3 matches to get 100 marks. Each match takes about 10-15 minutes, so on low end it takes 10min x 33.3 matches= 333 minutes, which is 6 hours. Multiply this times 2 so that's 12 hours of playing, over the course of two weeks, since marks cap at 100 per week. It takes only 30-40 minutes to beat level 32 PoE... So it actually is far less time playing the game to "earn" an etheric light playing PoE than it is playing crucible and earning marks to buy 1 etheric. So you are dead wrong, I make a much better point than you. Do the math buddy.

200 marks takes plenty of time to achieve, so yea I think that earns it

Lol 200 marks... You only get 100 of each a week per character. So every 2 weeks, you can buy 2 per character and only if you max out every week. That's 6 every 2 weeks after grinding every mark on all characters. Takes more time than doing all three PoEs. Shut up.

No, what's wrong with this community is that there are types of players like you who do not want to provide alternate pathways for certain items in this game. What is so hard to understand about how this would be a supplement for playing PoE and ToO? If a person wanted to make this the sole way they obtained Etheric Light it would be extremely labor intensive and time consuming. Much more time consuming than playing a single or even multiple PoEs or ToOs. I'm sorry you can't grasp that. I'm sorry you were dropped on your head as a child.

Trials a passage can be completed in about an hour. Gives you 3-5 etheric light. And Poe 34&35 can be completed in a combined 2 hours total so 3 hours of gameplay for 5-7 etheric light is quite enough. There is nothing wrong with the current system. You had to grind the raids for weapons and armor you'll be playing those to upgrade weapons and armor it's an rpg do you forget that? It's not an fps

You just want an easy way to obtaining the materials you are meant to work for. Yeah I get that you would only get 2 etheric light per character every other week assuming you max out all vanguard and crucible marks on each character so 6 every other week! But my point is that makes them easily obtainable when they are not meant to be easily obtainable. Granted they take longer to acquire but is still easier. So therefore it is a handout. You are not doing anything different or challenging yourself to acquire a material that is meant to be a challenge to acquire. It is an rpg game if everything is handed out which almost everything is the game will die rapidly. Which if they do not fix the game will never make its 10 year goal because it will die. You want it to be an fps not an rpg if you want everything handed out. That's the point you are ruining the type of game asking for the handouts.
