What keeps you from completing PoE 35 (Skolas) every week?
What's your biggest beef with Skolas? I remember having this pressing need to do Crota every single week without fail, and have a full set of raid weapons and armor for 2 characters, it's not an issue of difficulty.
I don't do this with PoE and actually have not completed Skolas yet. Why? [b]For me it's mostly the checkpoint[/b], I just don't have that kind of time to play most nights; add in the fact that the rewards are really not any more attractive than doing the level 34 in [u]much[/u] less time and using that etheric light to ascend an older raid weapon that's basically better in every way.
Edit: On further thought maybe it's 60/40 the lackluster rewards and not the checkpoint that discourages me, though they are really the same thing in a way: if I could pick it up again the next day at a checkpoint, the effort is less onerous. I'd like to see a single checkpoint right before Skolas (non-sharable) to save a lot of frustration from network issues or time constraints. It's far less demoralizing to say "OK, gotta, go, let's pick this up tomorrow", than "Well I just completely wasted my night."
Edit 2: For all you MLG ballers who solo it in an hour, more power to you but the site won't allow me to add another option now. Suffice it to say that this topic is not really intended for your particular demographic, which is suspect is the minority of Destiny players.
Edit 3: If your answer is "I do it every week, git gud," then please choose which option you think would make it more appealing than it already is. For your purposes, "too difficult" would equal "takes too long".

For me it's my friends(one of them) leaving without completing it. Also they complain that one of my friends doesn't have G-horn so...yeah. They complain alot. x.x So they leave soon as we get to Skolas. They also don't like the Cabal area where you have to dismantle mines the Cabal in there is too difficult. It takes us 3-5 tries to finish it. Its not easy the Cabal are the most hated enemy for us in Destiny.

Pointless unless they give us the same rewards as too , it's just the same amount of grind as the too . Bunkie needs to restructure it as when the taken king is available most guns will redundant anyway :-)

Tried a couple times, but it is just too long. Ran outta time, and getting to sleep so I can get up for work outweighs skolas's sub par rewards.

I've done it once, and it was the most boring, frustrating, and difficult thing I have done. I might do it again to get a solar wolves leash

The rewards suck compared to the effort. I have all 3 exotics, and over 20 Etheric light in the vault. No need to do it any more. Offer something better and I'll kill him some more.

Got a solar claw from my first completion. Also really enjoyed the mechanics of it so I'll probably keep doing it once, maybe twice a week.

Where is the 'I have everything of value from him and enough armor/weapon cores and etheric light to arm a 3rd world country' option? Literally once you get the cipher 3 times it's pretty pointless after that. Yes yes I know they have primaries and such but trials and VoG ones overshadow them.

Obviously the point of Skolas is to get more etheric light so that we can upgrade all the alternate gear sets we don't have vault space for.

I do it and enjoy it (for the most part) but the rewards are most definitely under par.

I've been doing them the last couple weeks, but I'm getting sick of elder ciphers dropping on every one. The first three were cool, but enough is enough. I really want a void scout or solar hand cannon though.

The rewards are a joke. I got all 3 cypher weapons from doing 34s. I killed skolas and got my ship/shader/emblem. The minimal chance of getting a type 2 primary is not worth the effort involved when I have so many 365 primaries with elemental damage already.
