Lets take a step back and assume that all the weapons have been balanced to perfection. IE, they never got nerfed in the first place, or nerfs have been issued accordingly.
If all the primaries have been set to satisfactory levels, which one would you grab over the others? And what perks would you be rolling with?
I'm torn between my love of massive Dirty Harry Hand Cannons, and lead spewing Assault Rifles. But on the other hand, a Scout Rifle allows for precision marksmanship so, that's hard to discount.
For my Hand Cannons, I almost always gravitate towards Zen Moment as I have had more success with this one. And Final Round is a grin worthy clutch save with that last shot really counting!
For my Assault Rifles, stability is key as we all know. Pumping out an entire clips worth by holding down a trigger is never going to be smooth, so the better the stability you can muster, the better the performance. Counter Balance performs quit well for this.
And then throw in Persistence and you have an effective death machine. Crowd Control as well can work, if your tearing through the mobs fast enough with one clip.

PvE - unless times call for a Fatebringer, I always have a scout rifle. Easy precision. PvP - Will always be hand cannons. I used them long before the auto rifle nerf. I used TLW when Suros was king and I used The Chance when fighting the Vanquisher.

I kind of roleplay so my set up is as such: Titan-Auto rifles, shotguns and Sidearms Hunter-handcannons and sniper rifles Warlock-scout rifles and fusion rifles I usually use pulse rifles in my titan or warlock but I dont really like them too much

luck in the chamber and final round

Tried all the weapons in Alpha and Beta and mainly only used scouts rifles since day 1.Started with the old Vanguard A.1 scout and mostly main Fang now.I do like Fatebringer but still love the scouts better.

I can't picture my beloved Auto Rifles no longer being the punchline to a sad joke, but I have a Silimar's Wrath with focused fire, extended mags, and persistence. It may be a peashooter, but it's my peashooter, lol.
