Nah man its easier than that, goku couldn't make it through the vault of glass. He has no ghost, no respawns, no dragon balls or outside help. It's just him if atheon teleports him the fight is already over. He could instant transmission but atheon probably wouldn't be there since atheon teleports you to the past. Not to mention he doesn't know about the oracles or the relic. Gokus is toast. I'm a huge DB fan but I seriously can see him winning that one.

Goku is fast enough to solo oracles, could easily blast the templar our of existance, gorgons would be a joke. Gatekeepers would be the only interesting part. But goku could also just smash the vault. And if he really needs to he could the multi body technique that Tien uses to clear it 'legit' He would smash atheon instantaneously. He doesnt need times vengeance

He never goes straight for the kill. That's his downfall. I don't care what he can do I know what he will do because he always does it for enemies he's facing on the first go. He kills to much time trying to talk to the boss badguy before the fight officially starts in his eyes. Plus he probably won't know what the oracles are, or the relic, or any other technicality. Even if he did get the relic and use it effectively after atheon teleports him, he has no way to get back. No one is there to open the portal.
