Goku is strong and all, but didn't he die like 3 times and needed to be brought back to life? And that wasn't when he was fighting multiple armies of time and universe manipulating aliens. People give him too much credit, and honestly, there are a lot of situations in that show where Goku isn't the one that wins and someone else has to do it, in one of those "oh no" moments

Hes only died twice once he sacrificed himself by submitting Raditz and taking a special beam cannon to the chest the other time he sacrificed himself because cell was using his kamikaze move to blow up the planet so he intant transmissioned him to the supreme kai planet

Also scrub lord? Did you watch/read dragonball? Goku rarely loses and the people he lost to later in life have the power to destroy planets. Actually anyone after the frieza arc could destroy a planet

he got smacked on super sayian 3 - if it wasn't for God mode he wouldn't even do much. - vegeta did more damage to him when bills smacked bulma.

Everybody got smacked by bills, and until bulma got smacked vegeta had given up and was ready to die. I bet if chi chi got hit goku would have done the same. Also getting owned was suppose to happen, wouldn't have been any good if they introduce Gods just so everyone can could appear to be level with them, would leave no room for progression
