True but he still wouldn't beat atheon or crota simply for the mechanic of the fight and his way if handling new enemies. He never goes straight for the kill, he tries to talk and or reason with his enemy to understand why they are fighting or what they want while dodging playfully or if he's powered up, he dodges and talks shit. He never cuts to the chase unless the fight has been going for awhile and its round 2 for him and the foe. The time he kills trying to talk is the downfall for atheon cause atheon would teleport him somewhere in time, and crota only takes damage from his own sword. And odds are when goku downs crota, cause he would definetly down him, he would take and break the sword instead of using it against him because he doesn't know its a key part of the fight. Even if by some wierd god magic instant transmission he was able to teleport through space and time back to atheon the oracles would have already taken effect on him and since he knows nothing of the relic he'd be lost in time.

The scenario is skewed towards the Destiny universe. It's Light+ Darkness + everything. You know that will not happen unless morals are off for the Destiny Universe team. They will never team up. Same thing with Goku. He will not just blow things up because he is good hearted. With morals off for both sides, Goku will win a long war. He will make clones of himself and fight as a team. He can make enough clones of himself, observe the mechanics, and figure things out. In an all out war with morals off for both sides, Goku stands a good chance to annihilate the entire Destiny universe.

The vex don't have morals they are machines, there's nothing skewered about it. With everything we know based on playing destiny and grimoire and assuming you've seen the anime, watched the movies and read the manga then we also know all of gokus moves what he has done, is capable of in theory and ways he's dispatched enemies. Same as the vexs' capabilities in theory. Everyone is so quick to improv goku but act like the enemies can't alter their behaviors and attack strategies. They will still fight the same but goku has never not had morals of some sort. We know what he's capable of and we know what he won't do despite his power level. He wouldn't win because he's not a cut throat. Aside from bills and whis the only other I could see going head to head with an open willingness to destroy and go in swinging full out is kid buu. There's nothing to hypothesize on that. It's fact and just like destinys' bosses are coded a certain way gokus character fights and deals with new enemies the same way no matter who it is. Key word being "new". So returning villians he would naturally take more serious because he knows who they are and what they have done/are capable of and he expects them to be stronger. He will underestimate atheon and get teleported and get lost in time.
