Destiny theories

In the beginning I knew nothing. I was a lost soul, surrounded by death. The only thing I knew was a funny little thing that I soon learned to call Ghost. After that there is simply too much to tell. I have discovered so much. Even the smallest detail of information that I now know is light years ahead of anything that I knew then. And yet I still know so little. I have seen death beaten by the push of a button, and have brought gods to their knees. And yet I know so little. I had no idea to who or what I was before my Ghost. Until I made a discovery. The only clue I received was the name "Dr. Shim", whom I was recognized as. I have discovered through years of research that Dr Shim was a scientist before the collapse. He lived on Venus, and died fighting the Vex. I figured that if I have died once to fight the vex, I might as well do the same again. So I have fought. I have seen things that defy the imagination and even the most basic laws that our universe has set in stone for all eternity. That is the best way of describing the Vault. Time being cut like cloth, and then folded and sewn again. Nothing is right, nor will it ever be right again. In doing my research I found a recording of the late Doctor Shim and an unknown Colleague. They were meeting to discuss a recently captured Vex unit. During their conversation the Vex unit blackmailed the Doctor for it's freedom. It threatened to destroy all simulations of humanity. I can see that I have lost you a bit. You see, in any Vex unit there is a constant group of simulations going simultaneously. These simulations are incredibly detailed, and could be mistaken for the real world very easily. These simulations are so detailed, in fact, that the simulated people are just as alive as you or me. They have feelings. The have dreams, hopes, and ambitions. They are alive, and they very much fear death. The Vex unit threatened to cause a genocide on a galactic scale if the scientists decided wrong. They then could not make this decision alone. These doctors met with yet another colleague to discuss this development. Two of the three scientists agreed to let the unit go, while the third refused. It was not the poor mans fault, he simply did not understand the complexity of this alien machine. He did not realize that because there are an infinite amount of simulations, and only one real world, the world that he was living in was most likely a simulation. Because of this man the Vex unit stayed imprisoned, which I believe is what led to the collapse. This would mean that we were in a simulation, and that the Vex was making good on it's promise to the three fateful scientists. The only evidence to support this is that, statistically speaking, we are more likely to be in a computer than we are to have real lives. I told this theory to the Speaker, who simply brushed me away as if I was a fly. I grew infuriated by him and his lack of understanding. I knew it was far fetched, but I had evidence to back my theory up. The full weight of what it would mean to be a simulated hostage finally hit me one day. I realized that the only way to prove my theory right or wrong was to assault the vault, because the Vex would never let us succeed in doing so. So I gathered up as many guardians as I could, and carried out my plan. I can not speak of what happened in the vault, because I am not sure what really did happen. The only thing I was sure of was that I understood. This had happened before, and would happen forevermore. Everything had already happened. Humanity's rise and fall, the whole of creation, it was a repeat. We were indeed in a simulation, but not a controlled simulation. This was a simulation that was let loose, to go wild and free. We were the latest generation. The Fallen, the Hive, and the Cabal are all us. Humans, who had different events change the course of evolution. They were experiments, and now we are all in an arena. The victor will become a reality, born through human evolution and Vex engineering. The most powerful will be born not in a simulation, but the Vex will bring it to life. The victor will then be used as soldiers, slaves in the real world. I had to tell the Speaker. We must win this battle royale, so that in the real world we may overcome the Vex and be free. Despite the fact that I myself would not ever be born, I would be responsible for the birth of one race, and the death of many more. I would just have to hope that the real humans could overcome the Vex. The only problem is that the only way to have us be created in the real world was to succeed in the arena. And to do that I would have to kill all other races. I must commit kill all of them, and commit the largest act of genocide ever.
