I noticed in an interview with eurogamer, one of the interviewers asked Bungie Rep about the Weapon Parts Shortage, and the Bungie Rep gave an encouraging answer, about how they want upgrading to be fun, not a hassle, so hopefully they will address this issue in an upcoming patch
