Wow. Great read! Thanks for sharing!
I played Halo-Halo 3 back in the day and seriously was amazed at the world I could take part in. I played those game religiously. Shortly after Halo 3 got released, I switched to Playstation, and had an absence of Master Chief in my life for years.
Then I see Destiny is getting released and I'm like Ok, 'new age Halo' on PS4? Count me in!" And boy was I disappointed.
The game wasn't all bad. I enjoyed some of the time I spent playing, but became frustrated with many many factors friends and I would gripe about. I come to the boards and post, just to get ignored. My friends didn't take the time to do that. I would tell them about it, I would show them on my phone, and they were flabbergasted.
I was let down. My friends were let down. Not boo-hoo cry yourself to sleep at night cuz your girl is sleeping with your best friend let down, OK trolls? I mean legitimately like "Man...really? This is the new Bungie? Too stuck up to talk to us? Too busy marketing to take care of business? Too proud to admit when they -blam!-ed up?"
And here we are today. I'm not buying TTK. I didn't buy HoW because they lied about the raid...that's what did it for a lot of my friends, and for me as well.
So here's to hoping enough people speak with their wallets on TTK to drive the point home to Bungie: we know this isn't Halo, but we expect the same kind of quality that you brought us in the past. Period. The DLC practices, access to content, and lack of communication with the community are the 3 biggies that have to get ironed out.
Will Destiny 2 (not TTK) be your redemption song, Bungie? Certainly hope so. I want to be a Bungie fanboy and #1 "defender of the faith" as I have been saying lately on boards--but you aren't letting me or anyone else with a brain be one, based on how you used to operate versus how you operate today.
I had really high hopes for this game.
