Riddle of a Dark Heart
This riddle was made by me, Cadence Chaos, xFILxx, and DieselD4444.
We collaborated to create a great riddle. Because of how good I feel this went, I will be open for you guys to PM me if you want to help do a collaboration on a riddle sometime! With that being said, they can also reply no/yes to you guys.

Who/What am I?
In light, there is darkness. Alongside darkness, there is me, a source of hope. They looked to me once for something great, but now.......there isn't much more than pain to be given.
Tap...Tap...Tap...The echoes can be heard where many once gathered, but if the planets align, and the time is right, just for a moment, the darkness leaves the light.
I contain the potential to augment or depress. Either way, I may control the masses, I may control you, but my will is not my own.I sit at his waist, and he touches me excessively. what you have seen will mark you forever. But that is what I'm meant for. He's got me, and you'll never see what's coming. I am the source of a rulers interest. If you can make my lord happy, he'll give you the fruition of my function. Hold me tight, let's give'em Hell!

1 Replyokay so the planetary alignment may have something to do with xur and his arrival at the tower. another hint to this is 'my will is not my own' the 'you'll never see whats coming' also hints towards xur's gifts, as does the ambiguity of the darkness and the light. it sounds as though this thing or person was once of value but as destiny has gone on its value has dwindled
