What if instead of Nerfing Thorn and pissing off a bunch of players that worked for it make it so that the burn is shorter and if you kill the person who thorned you it stops the burn.

How about the DoT perk can't kill and a range decrease. Also give it elemental damage!

Thorn is fine the way it is, I switched to a Fatebringer for shits and giggles and was killing just as many players with it, plus it has 3 more in the mag and explosive rounds. I never complain about death from thorn ticks either, I know when it's coming so ohh well, I wait a few, press x, and go back to killing. Red Death is the gun I hate more than anything. Autorifles need a buff tho, they were nerfed too hard.

Two shot head shot needs to be taken out because why should I use a hand cannon that takes 3 or 4 or a scout rifle that takes 4 or 5 when there at hand cannon range

Range shortened. It doesn't matter how as long as it is not a 2 shot (unless the last round perk hits then a 2 shot should happen)

I think they should shorten the burn to 3 hits rather than the 5-7 and make other weapons with burn effects to sort of push it away from thorn use. Or shorten the range significantly because the midrange it has now seems to actually be long ranged

Send it needs to be removed and the DoT needs to be put back down to 4 per tick. The idiot who decided to make it 7 needs to be fired.

Leave it as is. I constantly write people need to be more creative. The nerf-babies complaining are the ones that have the autos the way they are now... Instead, allow us to re-roll armor or create exotics that are burn/poison resistant. That word be nice

If it's not the auto rifle, it's hand cannons or shotguns etc.. what's next no land beyond lol Before to long we'll be playing with exotic daisy bb guns. Not that I don't get frustrated by the mechanics of pvp but I believe adapting and learning how to counter makes a stronger pvp player. My biggest issue is game lag when iron banner or trials are around!!

My vote sits on making Thorn's burn a % of the victim's current HP. This causes the burn to never kill you. That and a range nerf, or just replacing Send It with another perk so that it doesn't always hit at full damage. Because, let's be honest, Snapshot is a dump perk, and Perfect Balance is laughable on Thorn's Stability/AimAssist combo.

I hate pvp u die 2 easy for a super powered being. In halo it takes more skill to kill. If one on one engagement takes more time it makes for a more rewarding experience for a kill. Hand cannons and all weapons need to be rebalanced base on time to kill ratios and optimal range.

The burn isn't necessarily the issue. It just thoughts the weapon out of its proper role. The fire rate and stability is way to high for a 2 shot kill weapon. If you put on send it, there is literally no damage drop-off at any range. The problem with thorn is every stat is good. Thorn has no real weakness or downside

I say dramatically reduce impact but increase the dot duration. Exploit the exotic part of the weapon. It will still be a two shot, but the ttk for the two shoot is much longer for you have to hit the player again to make the final blow. This could balance it out as tactical hunting tool. Leaving a feared weapon yet, but not completely overpowered.

Ultimately it boils down to everyone using it is why it will be nerfed. Just like the Vex.

They should show their statistics again like Suros and actually nerf it then
