I'm not saying Master Chief and Deadpool wouldn't be fair contest but Natsu is in fact one of the most powerful mages in his realm. He's withstood things that would be equal to Chief blocking an orbital laser with only his armor. He's tough but not that tough

That's not the thing. And Natsu literally consumes anything heated, not just flames. Remember he melted a sword with his heat and drank that? Wayyyyy early on
